Inodilators in Acute and Advanced HF

TUESDAY AUGUST 29, 2017 AT 9:00 CEST ONWARDS

Video recordings of this event are available at the levosimendan lectures pages of this site and at the acute and advanced heart failure knowledge center on EPG online.

The use of inotropes or inodilators for correcting hemodynamic dysfunction and ameliorating symptoms in patients with advanced heart failure has been described over many decades, despite lack of large RCT evidence with traditional drugs.

More recently, the calcium sensitizer and potassium channel opener levosimendan has been proposed for safer inodilation.1

This series of tutorials focus on how to use safely and effectively such new inodilator drug in acute and advanced heart failure.
